My background is in econometrics. I’ve since worked across analytics, data engineering and cloud architecture, and I like turning business problems into technical solutions people can rely on.
I’m based in Hong Kong. At the moment I’m working on agentic workflows, knowledge systems, and the engineering needed to make AI dependable.

A Self-Hosted Knowledge Data Platform
I applied data-platform patterns to personal knowledge. Sources from Readwise, Telegram and opt-in notes flow through a raw-to-curated pipeline run by a self-hosted AI agent. Infrastructure is controlled by CI/CD, and privacy is enforced by infrastructure rather than prompts.
Shows: agent guardrails, content-addressed ingestion, change-controlled deployment, versioned agent state.
Status: core platform running; some components built but not yet verified end to end. Each claim in the case study is labelled.

How Econometrics Shapes My Approach
I discovered econometrics during my economics degree. My first regression model predicted the price of meat, and I was hooked. A master’s in economics, heavy on statistical modelling, then gave me the mathematical foundation I’ve built on ever since.
That training still shapes how I work: start with a clear question, be explicit about assumptions, measure before claiming, and state the limitations. I apply the same discipline to data platforms and AI systems. In my case studies, every capability is marked as live, built, proposed or open, so readers can see what is working, what is still in progress, and what is only planned.
Experience and Tools
- Business intelligence: I designed KPI frameworks to monitor company performance and built dashboards in Tableau and Qlik Sense, using Qlik’s ETL capabilities for data preparation.
- Data science: I work in R (tidyverse) and Python, with a particular interest in time-series forecasting.
- Data engineering and cloud: I build data-mesh migrations, ingestion pipelines, SAP/OData extraction and AWS serverless data-lake integration.
- AI engineering: I work on LLM agents, harness engineering, knowledge management, and AI-assisted software development.
DataiChing
The I Ching (《易經》, the Classic of Changes) has fascinated me for years. Confucius is said to have wished for fifty more years to study it.
DataiChing is my long-running personal project exploring what the I Ching and data thinking have in common: change as the normal state of a system, balance between opposing forces (陰陽, Yin and Yang), cause and effect (因果關係), and the idea that simple binary building blocks can describe complex patterns (易數道, the Dao of numbers [0,1]).
